Being more responsible isn’t about simply sticking a green leaf on a package. At YouSocks, we focus mainly on three simple things.
Made in Europe
All the socks selected on YouSocks are made in Europe. A simple rule that serves as the starting point for our selection.
Show where they come from
A European brand doesn’t necessarily mean European manufacturing. So, wherever possible, we distinguish between the country of design and the country of manufacture.
Ship differently
We use packaging made in Europe containing 70% recycled and fully recyclable plastic, with a gift-wrapping option for orders intended as gifts.

And we take it a little further than that.
We have chosen to offer only socks made in Europe. But a brand’s headquarters alone doesn’t tell the full story of where a product was actually designed and made.
That’s why YouSocks highlight the product’s origin: country of design, country of manufacture, and available information about the materials or certifications.
02 / Transparency
A label is not a universal promise.
Not all socks are the same, and not all commitments apply to every product.
So we prefer to display information where it is meaningful, product by product, rather than turning YouSocks into one big collection of green badges.
Organic cotton
Highlighted when it is genuinely part of the product’s composition.
OEKO-TEX
A certification to identify as such, without confusing it with an organic certification.
Recycled materials
Indicated when the relevant product uses them.
Eco-design
Shown only when it corresponds to the information available for the product.
03 / Shipping
The package matters too.
Selling online necessarily means shipping. So rather than ignoring the issue, we try to offer solutions that are more consistent with the project.
